International Festival Ballet presents a fairy tale of beauty, elegance and grace: one of the most famous ballets set to music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, "Swan Lake".
For many, "Swan Lake" is synonymous with ballet. The romantic tale of the young Prince Siegfried, who falls in love with the swan princess Odette and seeks to free her from Duke Rothbart's evil enchantment, is a story about the power of true love.
This ballet piece is part of the standard repertoire of all major companies. In particular, the Allegro Moderato from the Swan Dances in Act 2, choreographed by Lev Ivanov, has been the subject of countless parodies and is therefore known far beyond the ballet-loving public as "The Dance of the Four Little Swans". In short, it is a masterwork by a genius composer and has been a crowd-pleaser for centuries.
"Swan Lake" is conjured on stage by one of the finest classical ballet ensembles, International Festival Ballet. The magnificent scenography by the brilliant theatre designer Vyacheslav Okunev, who has worked, among others, for the Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg and La Scala in Milan, beautiful costumes and the ensemble's boundless elegance and effortless lightness guarantee a dreamlike and fairytale version of a classical ballet that continues to fascinate even after more than 100 years.

Shocked and affected by Russia's inhumane war of aggression against Ukraine, the famous ballet changes its name to International Festival Ballet.
