VÖLVA
From the depths of southern Sweden, Völva emerges: "Völva creates satanic black metal. The music itself is so powerfully evil, predatory, and diabolically pleasurable that one can smell the sulfur and feel the heat from hell's fire just by listening." // No Clean Singing
Our relentless rebellious attitude unites raw aggression with empowering satanic feminism. The sound of the black second wave is driven by the hatred that permeates our beings simply by living in today's world. Völva was formed in 2018 and has evolved over time to land in today's powerful quartet. The word völva is a derivation of the Old Norse word vǫlr, which is sometimes interpreted as "staff bearer." In pre-Christian times, the völva was a highly respected woman, regarded as a powerful spiritual seer in Norse mythology. We let our name – Völva – testify to the tragic witch hunts that followed with the hypocrisy of Christianity.
NIGHT CHURCH
The Östersund band Night Church delivers heavy doom-death with music that often touches on heavier themes such as depression, loneliness, and oblivion. The band promises a strong stage presence and always aims to deliver a powerful experience on stage.
