DARE Road to (Sw)Eden Tour 2026
- Wednesday 14 October
- 18.00 - 19.00
- Universitetsallén 24, SE-852 34 Sundsvall, Sverige
Upon public request return Dare to Sweden for another tour in 2026. After a sold-out west coast tour in February, it is now time for the band to meet the audience on the east coast in October!
Dare was founded in 1985 by Darren Wharton, former keyboardist in Thin Lizzy. The band name was rejected by Lemmy from Motörhead – a name that Darren immediately adopted. The debut album "Out of Silence" was released in 1988, and as early as the following year, Dare toured Sweden as a united unit to Europe during their "Out of This World" tour.
This tour laid the foundation for a long-term band between Dare and the Swedish audience – a relationship that now spans nearly three decades. During this year’s autumn tour, the band returns to Gävle and Stockholm, cities where they previously shared the stage with Europe.
Darren Wharton has also performed in Sweden with Thin Lizzy. In an interview with Helsingborgs Dagblad, he said: “Thin Lizzy was a great time in my life. I auditioned when I was 17-18 and was only 18 when I joined the band. My first gig with Thin Lizzy was in Oslo and my first gig in Sweden was in Lund.
Dare has played at the major festivals in Sweden and in 2024 they were headline at the new Swedish festival for melodic hard rock – Malmö Melodic. A proof that their melodic hard rock, spiced with Celtic influences, is as powerful and relevant today as when it all began.
Dare has released 11 albums so far: Blood from Stone (1991) Calm Before the Storm (1998) Belief (2001) Arc of the Dawn (2009) Calm Before the Storm 2 (2012) Out of the Silence II (2018) Road to Eden (2022).
The concert starts at 20:00 unless otherwise notified.
