Welcome to a musical for the whole family that is based on an important part of our history. We get to follow Varin Röde's adventurous journey from Alnö, taking the route via Innan (Indalsälven) to reach Frösö and the Trønders in Trondheim.
The musical performance "Every hand is valuable" is about when traders from present-day Finland came to the farmers on Alnö to ask for help to transport furs up the Indals River "Innan" and further to the Jämtar, Trønders, and to the Roman Empire in Scotland.
In exchange, the farmers of Alnö received better iron for their tools.
The story takes place at the beginning of the 400s, before Sweden, before the state, before the church. They did not exist. We must think away them. But this happened here with us, in our waters, in our rivers and forests. It required cooperation between the peoples and important council meetings.
