Imagine getting the chance to live your life over again! Marilyn Monroe and Edith Piaf have long been dead and are given an opportunity to return to the living.
They have aged and their star shine has become frayed at the edges. They have been contacted for an audition for a future comeback. With one condition, only one of them can return to the living. Through their most famous songs and newly written scenes, they challenge each other in a playful, charged, and sometimes ruthless battle for the audience's love, memory, and spotlight.
Two voices. Two destinies. A meeting that changes everything. It is a poetic fantasy – a staged conversation beyond time and space, where two women step out of their myths and into a human encounter. In an intimate and stripped-down chamber play, Marilyn Monroe and Edith Piaf meet in a room where the spotlight has gone out, but the voices remain. Two destinies reflect each other. Through newly written drama and unforgettable music, a conversation emerges about the price of fame, being a woman in a male-dominated world, the body as a symbol and commodity, and the voice as refuge and survival. Here, glamour, rawness, dark humor, tenderness, competition, and sisterhood coexist. The audience gets to follow two icons allowed to be human.
