By a Thread is a beautiful circus performance where everything literally hangs on the interaction between people. Long ropes run through the air, wrapping around bodies and binding the movements of the acrobats in a living system of trust and precision. Here, every step, every movement has consequences that reverberate throughout the ensemble.
With fantastic acrobatics and finely tuned choreography, you are invited into a world where the balancing act is not only physical but also emotional. The performance moves between playfulness and nerve-wracking tension, reflecting the relationships we live in every day.
By a Thread explores what it means to trust someone else and to bear responsibility yourself. It is an intimate and visually striking experience about friendship, risk, closeness, and courage. A reminder that it is in meeting others that we are truly tested and grow.

The company One Fell Swoop is based in Melbourne. The artists offer the audience an energetic experience where joy and risk are at the center, something that is typical for group acrobatics. It is a skilled ensemble that uses innovative equipment and classical circus techniques are employed in new ways that allow for new ideas.
