Lisa, approaching seventy, is accused of a serious crime. During the police interrogation, she begins to tell her story. Soon, it is she who controls the conversation and reality slowly unravels.

Ann Petrén and Sylvia Rauan meet in a chilling and breathtaking interrogation drama with a sense of the sad comedy of everyday life. Bit by bit, the ominous puzzle of Lisa's worldview is assembled. Is she a victim or a perpetrator? Or both?
A Heart in Today's Situation is a play by John Ajvide Lindqvist, world-renowned for his depictions that make fear creep under the skin. Here he collaborates with director Anna Takanen, who previously directed Ajvide Lindqvist's The Unauthorized at St. Paul's Church in Stockholm in 2019 – the play where the character Lisa first came to light.
Together they now create a tight and disturbing drama about the consequences of loneliness and insecurity – and about the unwillingness to bear guilt.
