Jämtgavelns naturreservat

A hike in Jämtgaveln gives you a sense of what the Northern Forest looked like before today’s modern forestry. In the large reserve there are more than two miles of joints, several overnight cabins, rest areas and more than 20 locations with information. There are traces of people’s activities for centuries such as forests, forestry workers’ cottages and catching pits.
The road to The giant gable is well signed from E14 at Ånge naturrum/ Statoil gas station in Borgsjö. Via a forest road you will get directly into the reserve. Follow the signs.
