ABOUT DESTINATION SUNDSVALL
Destination Sundsvall works on behalf of Sundsvall & Co in a partnership model to strengthen the local business community.
MISSION
To attract visitors, establishments, residents, meetings and major events, Destination Sundsvall needs to be marketed locally, nationally and internationally. To make this possible, a platform is needed for collaboration between the business community and Destination Sundsvall, which consists of the municipalities of Timrå, Sundsvall and Ånge. As a partner in Sundsvall & Co, you contribute to the collaboration between public and private actors to jointly create long-term growth and attractiveness.
BACKGROUND
Sundsvall, Timrå and Ånge have been collaborating on tourism issues for several years under the name Destination Sundsvall. Previously, the collaboration has been loosely organized and renewed annually. In 2022, a feasibility study was carried out to be able to work in a more long-term and structured way. The study recommended a municipal organization, Destination Sundsvall, which will work in collaboration with the business community through a partnership company. Sundsvall & Co is a company owned by the Sundsvall city real estate network and the Stenstan trade association and is financed through partnerships with the business community in the three municipalities.
MISSION
Destination Sundsvall and Sundsvall & Co will contribute with great commitment to the extensive social transformation that is underway by creating a sustainable, attractive and competitive destination where nature, culture and city life merge in a unique way. We will strengthen the city center as the region's engine and let the outlying areas act as catalysts for growth. Through long-term partnerships, we will highlight the region's strengths in nature, culture, events and gastronomy, contributing to economic growth, more visitors and an attractive living environment for residents and newcomers. Our goal is to create pride among residents and make Destination Sundsvall a natural meeting place with innovative hosting both physically and digitally.
VISION
Destination Sundsvall will be a year-round destination with both national and international recognition, known for its unique combination of nature and cultural city. With a strong foundation in sustainability and a genuine local identity in focus, both public and private actors will work together to create joint success.
