Aerial Masterclass med Ritti Soncco
- Lördag 7 november
- 10.00 - 12.00
- Verkstadsgatan 2, SE-856 33 Sundsvall, Sverige
Sundsvalls Stadscirkus bjuder in till unik workshop i Aerial silks med Ritti Soncco, en av Europas främsta instruktörer i luftakrobatik.
CONSTRUCTION 10.00 - 12.00 Ritti Soncco's signature choreographies are based in split silks. Inspired by spiderwebs and pole dance, her choreographies create unusual shapes with the body, rely on slowness and speed, and can all be woven into one long infinite sequence. This is technique-heavy workshop. Expect gripping with your knees, hiplocks on single silks, head flicks, and endless sequencing. Pre-reqs: hiplocks, able to invert in the air multiple times Important: bring shorts. People with male genitalia: bring dancebelts. Price: 500 kr for non-members. 250 kr for members of Cirkuscentrum or Sundsvalls Stadscirkus.
DECONSTRUCTION 13.00 - 15.00 Beyond technique, are stories. How can we deconstruct the rigidity we learned in order to master technique - and tell a story instead? In this workshop, we'll begin by researching movement quality and then explore the different things a silk can be, to help us tell our stories. In this workshop, Ritti will share her techniques for creating her political act "A Red Indian Climbs the Trump Wall" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDFWhTd_kBE). No sequences will be taught in this workshop, but you'll be in the air a lot. Expect to try out many things - some will work, some won't, everything is okay. Expect to play, express, and hide. Important: bring shorts. Bring ideas for a character (make-up, costume) or props. Bring no ideas and be open to experiment. Price: 500 kr for non-members. 250 kr for members of Cirkuscentrum or Sundsvalls Stadscirkus.
(övernattning kan ordnas i cirkushallen vid behov)
