Sundsvall
Sundsvall has many well-kept trails to enjoy, whether you prefer to enjoy your cross-country skiing in a lighted arena or in a scenic setting. At the snow-sure Friluftscentrum Södra Berget in Sundsvall, mile after mile of ski trails stretch out, both challenging the elite and inviting you to excursions suitable for the whole family. It's also home to the only Vasalopps center on the Norrland coast, so it attracts skiers of all ages and the trails are often ready early in the season.
If you want to ski towards a goal instead, there are several nice outdoor cabins to choose from in the destination. During the weekends of the winter season, Friluftsfrämjandet's various local branches are often open in, for example, Fågelbergsstugan and Svanängsstugan in Sundsvall. Timrå
Ski with a sea view at the Indalsälven delta. Here, Timrå Golf Club draws fine tracks on the golf course where many exercisers appreciate gliding along. If you want denser terrain and the beautiful silence of the forest, Skönviksbergets Friluftscentrum is a hot Timrå tip. Or how about challenging yourself in one of the tough and professional trails at Bergeforsens idrottsplats? There are both good beginner trails and challenging loops with tough slopes for extreme interval training. Here you can also take on the 46 kilometers that make up the route of the popular Medelpad Classic Ski competition.

Ånge
Here you'll find everything from tough uphill slopes that give you lactic acid to windbreaks with barbecue facilities. In Ånge, the snow usually settles first and there are ski trails for all wishes and levels. Choose between the hilly Callans trail on the border with Jämtland, the Roggsjö trail in Östavall or all the different varied loops on Myggvallen in Fränsta. If you start from Ånge ski stadium instead, you can get a real challenge in the 2.5-year killer slope.
