In the past when Ljungan was unbuilt in the form of hydroelectric power plants, Lax, Marine, Sik and Harren walked all the way up to the Helagsfjällen in Ljungdalen. Nowadays, Ljungan is heavily expanded by hydropower plants, but the last 1.8 mile out to the sea is still of untouched nature.
