Stora Torget

The main square is located in Stenstan in central Sundsvall.
The square is pierced in the north by the pedestrian street Storgatan, in the east of Esplanaden, in the south of Kyrkogatan and in the west of Torggatan. Straight over the square in the north-south direction cut Central Street.
At Stora Torget, square trade is conducted almost every day, but in recent years it has declined in scope. Taxis are based on the southeastern part of the taxi area square. Buses stay closest to Navet and the Garden Street stop at Esplanaden.
In the middle of the square is a statue of the city's founder, Gustav II Adolf. The statue was unveiled on August 23, 1911, on the 290th anniversary following the issuing of the city privileges.
