Filmfest Sundsvall welcomes this year's music honorary guest Johan Airijoki to an exclusive concert together with a band.
With roots in Gällivare and an artistry that moves between rock, ballad, country, and blues, Johan Airijoki has established himself as one of Sweden's most distinctive musical voices.
He is undoubtedly one of Sweden's hardest-working artists. Endless tours from north to south have, over the past decade, been followed by a steady stream of studio albums. His artistry encompasses both down-to-earth recognition and the often sour, socially observant gaze.
His latest album Rockens vingar explores a wide spectrum of genres where the common denominator is a warmly organic, live-recorded soundscape. With an inherent disjointedness, Rockens vingar simultaneously sounds like Airijoki's heaviest and most delicate album to date.
On Thursday, October 1, Johan Airijoki with band will take the stage at Filmfest Sundsvall.
