Summer 1994. The men's football World Cup. The heat shimmers, the cheers echo, and all of Sweden holds its breath. On big screens, we follow the national team's journey to bronze – but at the same time, other equally important matches are being decided in people's lives. This is the story of the summer that made Sweden believe again.
The warmest summer is a musical filled with humor, warmth, and familiarity. A tale of how a national team captured a whole country and created a glimmer of light in the darkness of the 90s crisis. About a free-kick trick, a midsummer miracle, and a penalty drama that no one can forget.
A grand journey through iconic moments, music, and strong emotions. Here, World Cup fever, festivals, and personal moments intertwine in a story where the big and the small are woven together.
