Norden på jorden
- Friday 6 November
- 19.00 - 20.00
- Universitetsallén 22-24, Sundsvall, Sweden
This concert unites personal voices in a Nordic expression. We will hear Jean Sibelius's Kuolema: Valse triste, op.44, no.1, Carl Nielsen's Clarinet Concerto, and a world premiere of Daniel Nelson's Concert for Orchestra. It will be music rooted in humanity, nature, and contemporary times.
Michael Collins is an internationally renowned conductor and clarinetist, known for a brilliant career as both a soloist and orchestra leader, with close collaborations with leading orchestras worldwide. In this concert, he will be at the podium, guiding the Nordic Chamber Orchestra.
As a soloist, we will hear our own clarinetist Linda Elmersdotter.
