CULTURAL EVENTS NOT TO BE MISSED
Step inside beautiful buildings and experience music, theater, exhibitions or stand up. Here are nine cultural events in Destination Sundsvall not to be missed.
THEATER

Jana returns to her childhood village and encounters a home reminiscent of trauma, a brother who is about to drink himself to death, a John she can't remember and more questions than answers. Childhood creeps up on her as she tries to sort out her relationships, but time has distorted both memories and narratives. What really happened and who has blood on their hands?

On a small farm just outside the village, Loranga, Masarin and Dartanjang live in their own metropolis filled with play, madness and a lot of pop music. There is rarely a quiet moment here when tigers, thieves, owls and an escaped giraffe visit.

Feel at home, enjoy the music! Listen to songs from the heart with Robert and musicians Khaldoun Jawish, Brusk Dido and Mohammed Ismail playing oud, saz and derbakeh. Teater Västernorrland and actor Robert Hannouch invite you to an evening filled with Arabic music.
EXHIBITIONS

The acoustics of Gustav Adolf's Church, Sundsvall Theater, Kulturmagasinet and Hyvleriet in Svartvik are presented in real time using modern sound technology from sound designer Oscar Björk. Hear what your voice or other sounds sound like in the different locations.

Artist Ida Rödén has traveled across the Arctic Ocean on the icebreaker Oden. The exhibition shows watercolors and objects that reflect life on board during the ARTofMELT 2023 expedition.

Visit the popular experience room where the clever old man Pettson and the clever cat Findus are the main characters. It's full of tricks, gadgets and the occasional muckle. Recommended for children aged 5-9 years and their accompanying adults.
